THIS AUCTION INCLUDES A LOT OF 12 PAIRS OF VINTAGE DEADSTOCK WOMEN’S EYEGLASS FRAMES (no lenses) FROM THE mid-1960’s FRENCH DESIGNER EYEWEAR COMPANY “SWANK”.
ALL FRAMES COME IN THE ORIGINAL PLASTIC BAGS AS SHOWN.
ALL FRAMES ARE EITHER 46-20mm OR 48-20mm SIZE.
ALL ARE NEW OLD STOCK AND HAVE NEVER BEEN WORN.
DUE TO THE AGE, THERE IS SOME VERY SLIGHT ADJUSTING THAT NEEDS TO BE DONE USING A HEATING ELEMENT, BUT IT IS EXTREMELY MINIMAL AND WILL PROBABLY TAKE YOU ABOUT 30 SECONDS PER FRAME TO FIX. AS YOU CAN SEE, THEY ARE IN EXCELLENT “BRAND NEW” CONDITION OTHERWISE.

Some of the swankiest vintage frames from the mid to late 20th century came from none other than Swank, the French eyewear company. Their glasses for women were the height of style in the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s while bringing fashionable touches to each pair. About Swank Glasses
Swank was a brand of designer eyeglasses for women. As a French designer, their styles were often more creative and unique than similar styles made by American designers between the 1950s and 1970s. The cat eye frame was their best selling style, particularly in the first few decades before larger and rounder lenses came into fashion.
In their later glasses, Swank often combined acetate and metal, using gold or silver to provide accents. Other features, like drop temples, ombre coloring, and temples that connect at the bottom half of the lenses make vintage Swank glasses from the 60's stand out from their vintage counterparts. Many of the decorative elements in Swank glasses were handset
with an attention to quality that is expected from designer frames. All of these Swank glasses are authentic vintage deadstock designer frames, all of which are new old stock and have never been worn.
